I hope you’re all enjoying the sunny weather today. London is scorchio and I’m really not looking forward to travelling on the central line in a bit.
I had some Liberty fabric left over from this dress recently and I really didn’t want to waste it. I love Liberty print despite it being rather pricey, and so I try to eke out every bit of fabric if I can.
I didn’t really have a top pattern that I wanted to use so I made my own by lengthening the bodice of a dress pattern I’ve also made up recently. It’s a bit tight near the waist so I’ll know next time to grade it out a bit more and it could also do with a bit of taking in at the top but it’s not a bad template for future tops.
Ah well, you can’t win them all!

This looks super cute – you’re so talented to make that! You’ve inspired me to try.

Jas – do it! It’s not as hard as you might think. There are some great patterns out there too 🙂
