If you’ve read my last post you’ll know how much I love the Sudley pattern. It’s so easy to wear and quick to make up. That’s an all-round win!
I’m already in love with this sweet mustard top. It’s the perfect mix of comfort and style.
But here’s the deal. I mentioned in this post that I’d wanted to perfect the loose peplum top for a while. When I first saw the Marthe top, I thought I’d found it but it wasn’t to be and so I went back to the drawing board. The above top, which I self drafted, is a real winner though!
Sometime last year I had an idea to make a looser fitted dress, with a lower, almost drop waisted dress. So I took to Pinterest as usual for my inspiration. I found the loveliest navy polka dot fabric at Walthamstow market and I already had some contrasting polka dot fabric that I could use as lining. It didn’t quite turn out as I expected but it’s great to wear on a Saturday afternoon when you’re lounging around the house.
Liberty is by far my favourite fabric and I jump at the chance to buy some when it’s on offer or I find a new colourway on Ebay. So, imagine my happiness when I saw that White Tree Fabrics had an offer on before Christmas (their offers are usually sent out via newsletter so I suggest signing up if you want the chance to snap up some Liberty at a discounted price in the future).
Sadly today’s #12DIYsofChristmas is our last! It’s been fun finding little ways to be a bit craftier this Christmas. For this last make, I thought it would be fun to come up with a few last minute gift ideas for those family members and friends that you may have forgotten about.
