I’ve made yet another Delphine

I’ve professed how much I love the Tilly and the Buttons Delphine skirt pattern time and time again and have made quite a few variations. The latest, a plain denim number, has already seen me through many coldĀ mornings in London, coupled with my new Clarks boots for the frosty weather.

I find this pattern to be extremely wearable, versatile and it can be adapted to make it shorter, or less A line, which I love!

Usually I pair this skirt with my favourite tartan shirt or a funnel neck jumper for the ultimate warm and toasty feeling, or my go-to choice of top – a stripe. It’s that thick denim that my Mum remarked was like the jeans of old, which I bought from the man outside Sainsbury’s at Walthamstow market earlier this year.

The structure of the material means that the skirt holds its shape and, although I also love my Liberty print version, this one is so different in feel and look that it doesn’t seem like I usedĀ the same pattern at all.

I’ve also worn it so much that I’ve had to replace the zip (thanks Walthamstow market for that shoddy zip too!).

What are your go-to patterns? Do you also like the Delphine? I’m definitely planning some more versions of this beauty!

And thanks Anna (who has an amazing books blog by the way) for taking these photos!
